My friend, Nadia married her beat friend Kristian the other day. I had the chance most photographers really enjoy - I could take any kind of photographs I wanted of their wedding and not worry about all the things that wedding photographers have to worry about. I left that to the professional photographer she hired. My photographs were of the emotional and personal side of the wedding for family and friends that often drops out of the static and formal photographs others do to just document a wedding. It was a stretch for an older man like me to work hours in the sweltering heat on this project and deliver on my promise to her.
